Blue Cheer Founder Dickie Peterson Passes

Dickie Peterson, bassist and frontman for Blue Cheer, died October 12 in Germany, after a bout with liver cancer. He was 61. Named for a strain of acid, Peterson and Blue Cheer were influenced by Cream and Jimi Hendrix and released their first album, <em>Vincebus Eruptum</em>, in 1968.
